In October 2025, the Wolfworks design team welcomed a new collaborator whose experience, values, and creative spirit align with our mission and culture. We’re excited to introduce Ben Azar, who joins Wolfworks as a designer and becomes one half of our two-person design team alongside Kyle. This addition expands both our design capacity and our ability to serve clients with clarity, care, and collaboration.
At Wolfworks, Ben and Kyle operate as a collaborative two-person design team. Each manages projects independently, while continually working together to explore options, challenge assumptions, and refine ideas. This structure elevates our design capacity allowing for efficiency, flexibility, and deeper collaboration while also ensuring that every project benefits from multiple perspectives and shared problem-solving. The result is stronger design thinking, clearer communication, and better outcomes for our clients.
In a short time, Ben has already made a meaningful impact at Wolfworks—contributing to design standards, client communication workflows, and construction documentation, while collaborating closely with both the design and build teams.
Ben is deeply aligned with Wolfworks’ mission of creating a better planet through responsible design and building. As he puts it, “To me, designing for people and planet means that the design should be focused on not only helping the occupant, but also cohabiting with its environment and surroundings.” This mindset makes him a natural fit within our high-performance, mission-driven approach where building science, durability, efficiency, and long-term stewardship are central to every project.

Ben brings nearly two decades of professional experience to Wolfworks. His background includes multiple years at the architectural firm SLAM in Glastonbury, CT, where he worked on projects at Avon Old Farms and The Country School, as well as six years as a Property Manager in Charleston, South Carolina. That combination of architectural practice and hands-on property management has shaped Ben into a designer who understands not just buildings, but people, how they live, how they care for their spaces, and how important trust and communication are in the design and construction process. His strong relationships with clients, builders, and trades are a big part of why he fits so naturally into our design & build model.

Beyond his professional work, Ben is a true maker. His creativity extends far beyond drawings and models. He builds furniture, creates art, designed and constructed a treehouse during the COVID lockdown, and even engineered a winter-proof duck enclosure for his growing flock.
When he’s not designing or building, you’ll find Ben baking, snowboarding, gardening, caring for his ever-expanding pet family, and finding new ways to combine creativity with problem-solving.
We’re excited for what’s ahead and grateful to have Ben as part of the Wolfworks team. Welcome, Ben.
