A Heart Pine Hutch

Using wood a second time is an opportunity to avoid the harvesting of precious old growth forests while having the chance to feature the wonderful wood that has already been cut and used once. One of our favorites is the Heart Pine used to construct this hutch. This rich hued and clear grained wood, sourced from beams taken from disassembled industrial buildings, has a chance to tell a second story.

 The Vermont Soapstone counters celebrate another important green virtue and aspiration - locally sourced materials.
