green@home
We always have our eye out for useful resources, particularly those we think will help our clients to gain a better understanding of the thinking required to make good design decisions.
This is especially true of the many, many books, magazines, and websites intending to help everybody “Go Green”. On the one hand, we like all the attention being given to the need to attend to the environmental impacts of building, remodeling, and living in a home. On the other, too many offer poorly researched advice, unverified assertions, and a bit too much wishful thinking. If all the claims we read about were actually true, we could just take all these “easy” actions and solve our energy and environmental problems without too much effort. I think we all know its just not so, and would appreciate some credible guidance.
We’ve always found Taunton Press to be a pretty reliable resource. Its staff comes from building backgrounds and they have a long record of providing useful and relevant information in magazines like FINE HOMEBUILDING and books like the Not So Big House series by Sarah Susanka. With the recent publication of green@home we think they’ve done it again. The editorial content is focused, practical, easy to follow and hopefully will help readers gain insight and understanding about what “green” can mean for their homes.
If you live in Greater Hartford or the Farmington Valley and would like to receive a FREE COPY of this magazine, complete this form to arrange to visit our office and pick one up.
